Wax Caddie

The Wax Caddie is a mobile flatwork ironer waxing work station from Tingue, Brown & Co. that corrals and organizes ironer waxing and maintenance products and accessories in a rolling utility cart. Its novel design concept features:
  • Double hanger bar that provides a safe place where hot wax cloths may be safely cooled after ironer cleaning
  • Dual built-in reels with scissor compartment for easy guide tape/ribbon usage
  • Dual built-in tub holders to safely move tubs of lubricants and cleaners with no mess
Extra storage space inside with sliding doors to keep everything stowed in one convenient place.

The Wax Caddie is rotationally molded from durable, waterproof polyethylene for resistance to scratches, scuffs and laundry chemicals and cleaning agents. The one-piece body is set atop four industrial strength casters for easy movement from one ironer to the next.

"The wax cloths are too hot to handle when they come out of the ironer but we never had a better solution than just laying them on the floor or putting them in a cart," says N.R. Kalra, vice president of Mayflower Textiles, Baltimore, Md. "With the Wax Caddie, we can spread them out neatly away from our people and they don't wear as quickly. Now our cloths last about three months instead of two. And with the rollers, we can move it to whichever ironer is being worked on," adds Kalra. "It's very useful."

N.R. Kalra of Mayflower Textiles, Baltimore, Md., shows off his Wax Caddie with Tingue, Brown & Co. representative David R. Wessels. Mr. Kalra credits the Wax Caddie with substantial cost savings on wax cloths after using the mobile work station for more than three years of continuous service in waxing the company's five flatwork ironers four times/day.
