Cleaning & Lubrication

Flatwork ironer waxes and cleaners from Tingue, Brown & Co. are used to clean and lubricate ironer cylinders and chests to promote efficient heat transfer, ensure optimum productivity and high quality finishing.

The Kleeno Cylinder cleaning pad is the first and only cleaning pad material designed and manufactured specifically for cleaning cylinder ironers. Its proprietary, three stage design starts with applying a chemical cleaning agent to the leading edge, followed by an aggressive, abrasive cleaning section and then a final, flannel section for capturing the dirt and grime and removing it from the ironer. Tingue, Brown & Co. engineers designed the pad to move through the ironer at a speed slightly faster than the rotation of the cylinder to create the ideal amount of frictional drag that cleans the rolls both quickly and effectively.

Instead of requiring workers to manually scrub and scrape the cylinders, the Kleeno Cylinder Pad automates the process. Workers simply feed the pad into the ironer as if it were another item of flatwork and the pad does the work.

Lubri-Kleen
Lubri-Keen #1 and Lubri-Kleen #2 are heavy duty cleaners for removing dirt, grime and other buildup from ironer chests. They are used either manually or by continuous cleaning belt or pad and in conjunction with Tingue waxes for optimum performance. Lubri-Kleen #1 is also available in a concentrated form (Lubri-Kleen #1 Concentrate - For Washroom Use) that is specially formulated to be added to the final bath of the wash formula to lubricate and soften flatwork before ironing. It helps form a consistent leading edge for easier feeding, which translates to high rates of wrinkle-free productivity and low misfeed rates. With proper feeding, stoppages to manually remove linen from the ironer are reduced and the potential for situations to arise that tempt worker contact with the front roll may occur with less frequency.
